umm...i have alot of things against him but i dont really like explaing it to people because 65% of the time that i try to people try to argue there point to me about how he was a great man blah blah blah and how im "wrong" and they are right....but 2 of the many reasons i dont like him is that school text books and teachers try to make him out to be a great saint who loved all races and all people .......and that isnt so ...and i personaly dont feel that thats right....if they are going to teach on him they shouldnt pick and choose all the good things and leave the rest out because in doing that they are leaving students ignorent ... and another reason is that he he stole his "I Have A Dream" speech 4rm Archibald Carey and claimed it as his own ....and i dont think thats cool ....

And honestly, how do you know that he didn't love all races and people? You didn't know him. If you showed me some concrete proof, maybe I would see your point. The only actual evidence you use to back up your calling him a "cunt" is that he apparently stole the "I Have a Dream" speech from some dude named Archibald Carey. I highly doubt that, as it sounds like sheer propaganda. In fact, I looked the rumor up- this is still being disputed. Maybe the man wasn't a saint, but he helped usher in a new era of civil rights into the USA.

And unless you want to sound like a racist, next time you probably SHOULD have actual facts at your disposal.

well im not trying to "sway" anyones opinion about him all i did was simply state my own personal opinion about him........people can think what they want as can i .......iv seen it in many documentarys about him and iv read it ......and how do u know that he did love all races?? ....did you know him???......and honestly i can care less if people on the internet think im a racist ...im not so what ever... and i really dont see the point of this discussion ...so yeah u have ur opinion i have mine ... the end.

No, I think it's a good discussion, I have never heard this stuff before. I'm just a little apprehensive because it sounds like sheer propaganda.

Even if he wasn't a good human being, it doesn't really diminish the importance of what he accomplished in terms of civil rights, you know?

i think martin luther king is amazing for what he has done. even if the speech was stolen, it changed various peoples lives for the better, and that is the main thing.
they should have something like this is south africa, seen as, right now, the whole apartheid thing has been reversed, which is a load of crap honestly.
what i don't agree with, however, is the way that these people leave you hate mail, when they don't actually know you, and even so, do not respect your right to your opinion.

well honestly i dont understand how me posting ablog about some of my myspace hate mail turned in2 a discussion about a douchebag?...but what ever..... i never said he shouldnt be recognized for what he did ...i know he did do alot for the african american community and thats great inall ....but im not an african american all i was saying is i ddont think its right that all school text books that have his BIO in it only state the so called "great" things that he did and leaving it like that insted of actually telling all or at least some of the wrong that he did such as he him self was know to be a racist....because in doing that i feel that they basicly are trying to make up everyones minds for them.....i think he stole the speech because its what iv read and seen on TV.......same as you guys...you guys think hes like the bomb or what ever because of what uv read and seen on TV.....i mean honestly i cant give you exact proof i dont have a magic machine that will take me back in time ....................i went on google(not really a reliable source) to try to find the speech but i all i could find of it was the end so this is prolly as close to prrof as i can get ATM on the hole speech thing ...i mean honestly what kinda bugs me about the hole speech thing is this basicly is what he is know and famous for his so called "original speech"
